Mondo Cane is the legendary and cruel shockumentary by Gualtiero Jacopetti. Khavn sees his own Mondo in Manila. Jacopetti was an outsider; Khavn is a participant. The secret of Khavn is that he shows poverty and injustice in an almost cheerful way, making it even more awkward.

So often films are labeled "quietly devastating", that if we had a Lonely Planet index for mental and affective places, Misery'd make the thickest title and prevailing toponym: been there, seen that. Hence it's more challenging to document what everybody knows than pull off i-tech mumbo-jumbo like Inception. Our sympathy cords are effete and Mondomanila isn't lovely, cuz fancy in this case would amount to disgraceful
It's a little bit exaggerated and seems to be unrealistic but i think the movie will show us how a society of poor people looks like where is nothing left as crime, violence, Korruption and so on. sad circumstances.
