I've always found Neil Simon's spoof of classic detective novels to be even more clever than the more popular CLUE. A witty comedy with a stellar cast, about a dinner gathering featuring the world's most famous detectives, slyly skewers the genre. Features Maggie Smith, Alec Guinness, Peter Falk, Peter Sellers, and Truman Capote.
Only a thing I never get about a movie which mocks others, why they even bother made one with exact same clichés? And in this case, jump in conclusions. It's fun and laughable overall, in a way, I get it but in my point of view, it's simply pathetic and it feels like that mocks are only used as a bait.
Go and check it out ... NOW! It's not only about the actors, that are amazing on their roles but the script which help them to hyperbolize even more on this detectives-in-a-mansion-christie style story. Loved it.
