Our take

A tremendous, Sundance-winning debut from Welsh-Egyptian filmmaker Sally El Hosaini, this East London-set drama crackles with energy. With remarkable performances from James Floyd and Fady Elsayed, My Brother the Devil is an adrenalised antidote to the well-worn formulas of urban British cinema.
