For me, the most observant, clever comedy lies in the production design. The oddly out of date fashion and decor. Like the 70s threw up on the 80s and it time traveled forward to the early 2000s. It's a bizarre yet familiar world. Kind of like Eraserhead actually.
Absurd indie cult (perhaps) teenage comedy of misfits claiming their space, revindicating themselves. It defeats its own purpose by portraying the bullied as a bunch of ridiculous twits in an exaggerated cartoonist way, effort it does not equally make when criticising the oppressor. The blend of innocence, drooling from the mouth, personal integrity & buffoonery backfires. However I would vote for Pedro all day long.
