[Slo-mo Whisky being poured in coffee cup and stirred with toothbrush - classic breakfast for an Air Marshall]That poor Blow was taken though: you failed me Air Marshall Liam Neeson! I think that there's a little more to life than ass-beatings and enforcing the law. What happened to "no cocaine left behind"?*Nods head*You're better than this, William Neeson.(That slide cellphone though: how late 90's Ericsson of you)
Mostly agreeable action thriller pits Air Marshal Liam Neeson against an anonymous texting terrorist who is framing Neeson for the air liner's hijacking. Neeson is great fun to watch, and the movie manages to keep the audience guessing despite some early obvious set ups. The villain's ultimate motive, however, turns out to be disappointingly convoluted. Worth it for Neeson and Julianne Moore.
Before you attempt to hijack this plane I must warn you I am an air marshall and I have a very specific set of skills which I will use against you without mercy. Yes indeed, welcome to 'Taken' in the sky. Silly plotting lacking both sense and originality that plods on seemingly longer than its actual runtime. Neeson deserves better but hey it's him who signed the contract. Front runner for worst closing scene.
