Our take

Richard Linklater channels Parisian chic—and a certain je ne sais quoi—in this erudite homage to Jean-Luc Godard’s ultracool Breathless. Part dissection of a cinematic revolution and part who’s who of the titular movement, Nouvelle Vague is a cinephilic tour de force peppered with Godardian wit.
