    A semi-successful (first talkie adaptation) to tell the story of the Twist, this is again just too short to give much gruel to the story...for most of the movie only Nancy and the dog come off as three dimensional characters, with the rest taking their assigned places as "good" or "bad", but by the end, even Fagin (refreshingly free from "Jewish" mannerisms,) becomes (almost kinda) well rounded...2.5 stars...
