After spending the night together on the night of their college graduation Dexter and Em are revisited each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together, sometimes not, on that day.

This film lacks dramatic impact for much of its length. And that, with unappealing and undetermined characters too. Although halfway until the climax I felt the emotions were much better played. They had me in tears there.
Wife and daughter cried a lot while watching this one with me. I didn't. So one can't say that I'm dominated by my feelings when I consider One Day as a pretty good romantic drama. Anne Hathaway reminds me a lot of my dog (who didn't cry only because he's too proud) but it's completely irrelevant here. Highly recommended.
Such a disappoitment I've had today. Please don't see this movie without reading the book. Such a colossal misadventure for these two (Lone and D.). Mr Nicholls you should focus only at book writing; quit screenwriting, please. What a mess. I was afraid of the actors' performance but if the film has any interest we all should thank Mr Sturgess. In my land we call this a FIASCO! Great actors though
Anne Hathaway is one of my current favorite actresses. She got the ability to possess the character she plays. Can't say the same thing about Jim Sturgess; a miscast in my eyes. The story is good, but the execution is bad. No drama, no comedy, no love, no hate, no fish, no meat. Overall boring.
