An ugly and cynical sequel about people half as ugly, but twice as cynical. In expanding on the gruesomeness of what happens after the bodies exit the Pet Sematary, Mary Lambert loses much of what made the original film so heartfelt and chilling, resulting in a ludicrous effects showcase with no character to care for (although Clancy Brown is a real hoot in his "undead" form). And what was up with that soundtrack?
