Once dreaming of becoming a teacher, Emre is driven by family pressure into working as a security guard and sent to watch over an empty 27-storey plaza in Istanbul. His long, solitary shifts take an unforeseen turn as strange events unfold and an unlikely love gradually enters his life.

In Plaza, director Anıl Gelberi frames modern precarity as a kind of suspended gravity: a life held between expectation and inertia. Through its drifting protagonist, the film contemplates the muted weight of ambition, and the echoes of dreams left when a future fails to materialize.
