Our take

Selton Mello drew praise for his turn in the Oscar®-winning I’m Still Here (2024), but he is also a fine director, impressing with this laudably poised debut short shot on 16mm. Subverting actor Jorge Loredo’s fame as a zany Casanova on Brazilian TV, this impactful drama shatters the heart.
