Five friends Freccia, Bruno, Tito, Jena and Boris are very keen on music but they live in a little town in northern Italy and spend most of their days at the local bar. They decide to set up an independent radio which soon becomes the voice of a generation.

In his freewheeling directorial debut, singer-songwriter Luciano Ligabue spins the record back to the 1970s, an era of bell bottoms, free love, and youthful idealism. Under the dark clouds of Italy’s Years of Lead, music paves a revolutionary path in this wistful portrait of life in the Po Valley.
