What are people saying?

  • J. O.'s rating of the film Rings

A tepid attempt to repackage the original concept to a new generation of smartphone users - simply doesn't translate. No redeemable qualities, missed the mark by a mile, and seemingly failed to understand what made the "original" American remake so captivating (at least, at the time of its release).

  • Palmat's rating of the film Rings

A horrid exercise in pointless filmmaking. Nothing here works in comparison to the novels, the japanese movies and Verbinskis remake. What could have been interesting becomes a tedious experience of actors running around with their mouths open acting like idiots. The scares are poor, story is idiotic and the direction tries soooo hard to emulate what the US remake got right. Stay away from this flaming turd!

  • msmichel's rating of the film Rings

Unnecessary sequel about 10 years too late that follows the template but fails to provide any horror...at all. Performances are pretty terrible right across the board as is the direction that fails to inject even a moment of originality or interest in the material. Skip it. Watch the original Ringu instead.

  • f-nanda's rating of the film Rings

WTF is D'Onofrio doing with his life? Why the skeleton is always~in the wall? And why always~ has to be hair involved? It'd be awesome if it made fun of itself but meh. If we get a next movie, I hope they get the finale idea as Samara as a spam.

  • Steve Pulaski's rating of the film Rings

Some of the film works, some of it doesn't. Rings turns the tables on us in that we realize that instead of coming for the jolts and staying for their justifications, we've stayed for the explanation and have essentially found the jumpscares as integrated elements that are practically necessary to the storyline. It's all strange, just like the fact that people will still pay for a Ring movie in 2017.

  • Nicole Richie's rating of the film Rings

Besides not feeling like a ring movie, it doesn't have anything good to it. Moreover, it tries to ruin the original story. Moreover, i actually wish this never existed.

  • PeterK94's rating of the film Rings

The opening and closing scenes are so disconnected from the story that it is painfully obvious they are only included to be in the trailer. Otherwise, if you ignore those two scenes, this is a passable mystery that expands on the first film in some interesting way.

  • richardlawrn's rating of the film Rings

since I will never get my time back, I better admit I didn't see that ending coming. that doesn't mean I liked it, but still, it surprised me. and I always like this investigation thing, even though it gets pretty boring at some points. wouldn't recomend it to anyone who isn't a curious motherfucker just like me that just has to see this thing with their own eyes.
