Awesome! I always enjoyed seeing F1 with my grandpa on sunday mornings and now I'm a little sad that I'm not old enough to have seen these guys rancing. This movie is a great deal for F1 lovers and a great movie! Its soooooo exciting that I cried my guts out! Daniel Brühl has always been a favorite of mine, and now, Chris Hemsworth became one too. ANOTHER! (And now I feel like Thor breaking a cup!)
This film represents something very important in contemporary American cinema. It proves that Hollywood can still put out well crafted entertainment with an emphasis on storytelling. In a year that saw blockbusters bombing left and right, 'Rush' skips the silly season in grace and with exquisite direction. Probably the year's biggest surprise.
Thought I would enjoy this one more than I did, but still a solid effort from Howard. Definitely a very slick, stylish looking film. The rivalry and character development felt a bit rushed to me, though.
A surprisingly fun spectacle with exceptionally nice camera work. Through the heavy revving of engines and squealing of tires, you'll find great performances from the leading men - Hemsworth playing a vapid thrill junkie and Brühl as an austere arsehole - who are caught in a bitter Formula 1 racing rivalry. It transcends most Hollywood thrill-rides in its experimental and frantic camera work, too.
