Harrison Ford and especially Greg Kinnear try their best to bring this remake to life, but in the end Sabrina is a poorly paced snooze that adds nothing to the original (except for a very flat series of sequences of Sabrina in Paris). In addition, it's a story with themes that haven't aged well at all.
It was with some apprehension that I watched this DVD yesterday night. The majority of my MUBI friends gave one to two stars max. to SABRINA, Sydney Pollack's antepenultimate film. It's not Sydney's masterpiece OK but it's still an interesting film if you see it through the lens of fairy tales.
