Saint Seiya: the Movie/Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris is a film based on the popular manga and anime series called Saint Seiya by Masami Kurumada. It premiered in Japanese theaters on July 18, 1987 where it was a success and received a sequel the year after with The Heated Battle of the Gods.
