In his debut feature, director Ceylan Alejandro Ataman-Checa delivers a powerful drama on the process of shaping (and re-shaping) one’s identity. With a great eye for detailed realism that does not shy away from emotion, his confident style has been compared to that of Schanelec and Petzold.
