All of these zombie elements are so familiar, it doesn't have a personality of its own. The best part about it is its fast pace, scant runtime, and it being economical in story-- allowing the audience to properly fill in the blanks of character relationships-- thus not complicating matters with backstory. All this makes for a comfortable watch, but still an unmemorable and non-challenging one.
Obviously there's a time and a place for a movie like this. Filmed on a micro budget with little to no plot, this is for one of those nights where one empties that half bottle of red wine that's still floating around, one just wants some ok entertainment to zone out to but "The Walking Dead" still sounds too dumb. And honestly, the ending worked for me and this movie is only 60 minutes long... I can't hate!
