Sam’s girlfriend breaks up with him he becomes depressed. To cheer him up, his socially awkward brother Simon decides to set out on a quest to find Sam a new, perfect, girlfriend. Struggling with his own Asperger Syndrome, the quest is more difficult than Simon first expected.

Asperger’s Syndrome is not an easy topic—and not one typically suited to a comedy, but this feature debut avoids trivialization with its wonderful characters and atmosphere. Starring Bill Skarsgård in a terrific performance, Simple Simon is a romantic comedy that is warm, funny, and deeply profound.
