What are people saying?

  • Diderot's rating of the film Singapore

A delightful piece of classic film noir, with both leads only barely filling their roles as the morally ambivalent male and the hysterical woman. Brahm's take here on the femme fatale's hysteria (and Gardner isn't *really* a femme fatale) recalls his earlier film "The Locket." It also has one of the best gay villains in noir since Peter Lorre.
