After a bunch of mostly clean cut teen shows like Dawson's Creeks, The OC and One Tree Hill, Skins was poised to succeed. A brutally honest depiction of contemporary youth complete with drug abuse, questionable decisions, mindless sex and some more drug abuse. It also featured a killer soundtrack. Gets 5 stars for the first, second, and seventh season. Everything in between was crap.

This was one of my favourite shows as a teenager. The soap-opera of it doesn't age incredibly well, but I will argue for this show until the day I die.
