=== STARR & SISLEY overplay, casting & dialogues are unbelievable. Pitch's OK but a pitch is not a script & the action is cliché & you see it coming from 1 km.
One of the best action-thrillers that I've ever seen; blending an inspired Die Hard-esque, one-location setting of a nightclub with the escalated kidnap-plotting of Taken. Has the bare essentials of story depth of the most stimulating action films, but knows exactly when to escalate the stakes or de-escalate the thrills for emotional resonance. And it's an action film that ends on a very-European question mark.
Decent thriller with a slick and lean story and fast paced plotting. What the movie delivers in suspense and entertainment it fails to deliver in the character department. All characters are too shallow or too unsympathetic to make you really care about what is going on which is a damn shame. Sisley makes for a compelling protagonist but he has been better and is let down by the underdeveloped script. Still good tho!
It's been a while since i saw such a well constructed eadge-of-your-seat action thriller like this one. With a frenetic handheld camera that is actually well used, never getting in the way of the action. Probably getting a worthless hollywood remake in the future, so, be sure to check this one.
Watched this primarily because Lizzie Brocheré is in it. Still waiting for her to be in something as amazing as she is. That said, this wasn't bad for the genre. Lots of bad guys double crossing other bad guys; lots of confusion; lots of suspense and action. My favorite scene is the kitchen fight and Serge Riaboukine is great as the fashion saavy drug dealer/night club owner. 3.5 stars.
Intense French thriller, Taken meets Die Hard in a night club if you wish. Main character Vincent is a cop who is bent on getting his son back after drug dealers take him in order to get their drugs back. You feel Vincent's sense of desperation, the film does a nice job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed this film.
