Our take

Marija Kavtaradzė won Best Director at Sundance with this tender, nuanced film, shot on sensuous 16mm. Attuned to the tentative movements of its magnetic performers, Slow is a different kind of love story—one that unravels sex from intimacy and hazards a newly passionate picture of attraction.
