what could potentially only be about boxing becomes a cultural look into cuba. a look into the lives of afro-latino boys under castro's rule training to be boxers. their lives, their families, communism, everyday, being a true champion and what it means to eat. i cried a lot watching this. it makes me think about how i view things so far apart from my world but also truly close to me through skin and migration.
