In Man in the Machine, Gibney turns the spotlight on us, and how we choose to defer the responsibility of connecting to one another to those who make us believe in the perfection of an object, in the process causing the alienation that Steve Jobs himself was critical of.
"How much of an asshole do you have to be to be successful? What's the moral of the story here?" (Jason Kottke). But the best bits are Sherry Turkle's. Kudos to Alex Gibney, America's most talented documentary filmmaker.
