What are people saying?

  • Rafael Zen's rating of the film Suicide Squad

WOW, even for a "blockbuster cash machine on demand" this is terrible. The writers really think people are dumb on this one. When the best thing on a movie is this or that soundtrack choice, you know that movie sucks-a-lot. It's that kind of experience you feel more and more stupid by the minute.

  • Skinnedteen's rating of the film Suicide Squad

Cringeworthy screenplay. Harley and the Joker looked like Die Antwoord rip-offs from a High School play. I felt like I was watching a youtube fanfic montage with how Ayer tried way too hard to put all these characters together, especially the inclusion of the Enchantress.

  • Alcock Hitchfred's rating of the film Suicide Squad

This is an overall fail and it's a shame because it included some of the best DC characters. Cringeworthy humor, messy plot and wasted potential. Leto's performance sucked and the portrayal of Harley took away the charm of the character. Didn't care about the soundtrack either. Plus, the violence against women jokes were rather tasteless and alarming. So disappointing. What a turd.

  • Sean Patrick Stevens's rating of the film Suicide Squad

Sadly, CON AIR is more badass and funnier than this squad's members. Viola Davis and Will Smith fare the best out of the cast but the "Enchantress" is a disappointingly mediocre villain (not unlike the recent X-MEN prequel.) Although slickly made, it is wildly inconsistent with the main problem being a vacuous screenplay that has a lot of things happening with little character development.

  • HKFanatic's rating of the film Suicide Squad

"Look at the pretty lights," Harley Quinn coos while en route to an energy disturbance that could be the third act of any superhero movie, including "Avengers." The level of ironic distance this and other moments afford "Suicide Squad" is enough to make the movie the most interesting comic book adaptation of the year, even if the finished product feels less judiciously edited than its stylish Comic Con trailer.

  • J. O.'s rating of the film Suicide Squad

Another misfire, following a recent dud of a Batman/Superman crossover. What is the point of establishing a self-proclaimed gritty and realistic world if you're going to fill it with tacky dialogue, sleepwalker performances, mindless PG-rated violence, underwhelming villains, and confusing CGI (Enchantress was more enchanting before her makeover)? Why was there hype over this lazy effort?

  • Joe Hackman's rating of the film Suicide Squad

Before you judge me for seeing this, it was a free PGA screening! Where to begin? Seeing Suicide Squad is like watching a three way between a dumpster fire, a train wreck, and the violent death of Cara Delevingne's short-lived acting career. This spectacular failure doesn't even scrape the so-bad-it's-good levels. Avoid at all costs.

  • msmichel's rating of the film Suicide Squad

DC miss again with this empty, bombastic entry that wastes some potentially good characters with a poor script, toothless villain and obvious soundtrack. Margot Robbie is perfect as Harley Quinn and Will Smith makes an impression as well, surprisingly. Though the film does fit in with the doom/gloom universe that DC seems to want to create they seem to forget the audience its being made for. Leto fails to soar here.
