Absolutely beautiful looking film with some AMAZING sets/costumes and really hilarious moments. I thought the fight scenes between the husband and wife could have been done a bit better, I was kind of expecting more martial arts but it's okay I GUESS because her outfits were so good and the music each time was perfect. The hypnotist was my favorite character, all that hip thrusting was just too much...
the visuals were stunning, its almost as if i was watching a japanese candy CM made by kubrick because at some point it looked pretty clockwork orange-esque (which is not a bad thing). casts, soundtracks & stories were just great, everything fits together perfectly. a beautiful wife that refuses to stay dead, a flamboyant magician, a killer that thinks he's some kind of jehova's witness. i really couldnt ask for more
Every once in a while I see a movie where the imagination and the visuals are on the same level, in cahoots if you will. This film is great and why we turn to other cultures to see different stories in a new light.
It's impossible for me to make it through this film without laughing... no matter how many times I watch it. The way this story is pieced together is fantastic. The visuals are pure eye candy. A unique experience.
It's all in the title, really. DIdn't know this is from the same guy who directed and edited one of my favourite music videos of all time (I miss Supercar...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPa2_VWMzxw. MASTERPIECE.
