What are people saying?

  • Richmond Hill's rating of the film Terminus

Quasi-advertisement pen portrait which amply demonstrates the manipulative power of editing with craftily cut images of semi-staged, if no doubt typical, railway station comings and goings. Grainer's unsubtle score heavily emphasises events, but this is otherwise a keenly observed exercise in brevity and economy. A portent of Schlesinger to come in the kind eye for man but with flashes of the macabre.
