1959 | Nominee: Best Dramatic Presentation
I love me some Sinbad, but i've always preferred the 70's ones. And as far as Harryhausen is concerned, Jason and the Argonauts will always be my favorite.
Not the best Sinbad film ever made but it's breezy enough and thankfully doesn't arse around too much with a 'plot'. Kathryn Grant seems far too happy about being shrunk though.
This exciting adventure film has a great pace, wonderful score by Hermann, & the always magnificent effects by Harryhausen.
