What are people saying?

  • AKFilmFan's rating of the film The Battle

A precursor to Birth Of A Nation, containing an adequate story and acting alongside great direction and editing. But it's the battle sequences that excite, with hundreds of extras and action that seems like a dress rehearsal for Birth if it wasn't for the cowardly protagonist. This is on of Griffith's best Civil War shorts.
