Our take
Josh Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) made the most clever film of 2012: a hilarious, witty horror movie satire. Yet while the plot twists and turns, this ingeniously scripted getaway always treats its characters with humanity and warmth—even in their grisly deaths!
