The way it confronts sexism is interesting—in one scene, Kimberly is told outright that she’s only successful because of her looks. That her climactic broadcast involves her breaking into tears is another respectable element of the film’s narrative; Kimberly’s unwavering femininity is an asset to both the character and the story.
