2.2 stars. Training wheels for 'Ghost Stories'. I can see why Dyson would choose to adapt 'The Cicerones' out of Robert Aickman's works because it is vividly imagistic, has a clear linear narrative and an uncharacteristically climatic ending. However film tends to render allegorical literal and makes what was slyly insinuating when written seem ham-fisted on screen. I did, however, enjoy how ill everybody looked.
