Michelle Pfeiffer is ferocious in the role of a desperate mother whose 3-year-old son disappears during her high school reunion. Nine years later, by chance, he turns up in the town in which the family has just relocated.

This film shows us nothing and tells us everything and it feels more like a tv-movie drama than a cinematic thriller and the potential is surly there where a child is kidnapped and later by coincidence is living in the same neighborhood as his former parents.Instead of playing with different point-of-views this story is pretty much told from the victims angle;Pfeiffer and Williams. One dimensional but heart breaking.
It plays more like a TV movie about a mom searching for one of her sons while neglecting the other one (but not like in Ordinary People, which is a far better movie). I watched this as a teen mainly for my crush on Jonathan Jackson.
