  • Aaken's rating of the film The Depths

A famous Korean photographer comes to Japan for his friend's wedding, and becomes captivated by a male prostitute, half fallen angel, half 'homme fatal' A beautiful film about the possible salvation in art and creativity and those fragile and brief instants when life could be dramatically changed. Great cast. I didn't know about Hamaguchi's work and now want to discover his other films.
