    Though Andrew Getty and the story behind the film are more interesting than the film itself, there's true gravitas to the piece and a palpable pain beneath all the weirdness. Andrew Koehler is actually quite strong in the lead role and the inventive practical effects are suitably disturbing. Not a great film by any stretch, but a bizarre, embarassing, daring, occasionally poetic piece of work from a tragic figure.

    Because I refused to pick on the HAM retard acting without self examining myself. Because it's not Hollywood and it's more Phantasm that doesn't flinch like the system would've made it. Because there's the Getty oil empire undercurrent that is fighting the portfolio of it's elitism. And because it's a spiritual sibling to The Devil's Candy
