2 1/2 out of 5 stars. An interesting premise that plays out more like a long Twilight Zone episode than historical fiction. The effects are laughable and despite its implausible premise I didn't buy it.
A sea of squandered opportunities and cringey, nationalistic revenge fantasy. The Japanese American officer could have been featured more prominently at the heart of the ethical, temporal dilemma. The attack on Pearl Harbor could have been forestalled sooner, making it more pertinent to ask: could the superior fire power from the future compel global peace? How would such an America evolve (or devolve)?
