  • msmichel's rating of the film The Flower Girl

Reportedly a classic of 'Gone With the Wind' standards in North Korea but to western eyes its a handsomely made melodrama. One misfortune begets another throughout the film and the only answer in the end is a people's revolution to expel the Japanese and capitalism. Politics and propaganda aside its basically melodrama of the kind that is thick enough to slice with a knife.
