London, 1961. It’s a city where gangsters control the streets of the West End and protection racketeers call the shots until ruthless accountant Waldo Zhernikov (Herbert Lom) organizes the six major gangs into a syndicate.

Herbert Lom's accent is worth the price of buying or renting this one. Some good 'noirish' photography of London (but that's about as noir as it gets). John Gregson is wonderfully miscast as a Scotland Yard detective - about as realistic as Bela Lugosi would have been in the role of Tarzan.
