  • El Biffo's rating of the film The Gift to Stalin

What's interesting about this film is not so much the story of a boy far from home during the war, but how different ethnicities inter-relate, in this case in the environment of Kazakhstan during WWII. A bit dreary, but culturally rich as well, and recommended for anyone who is interested in any of these aspects, or even just Kazakh life or history.
