A fantastic biopic and yet another gem from the Mann-Stewart collaborations. The jam session with Duke Ellington is fantastic - another fine example of the type of films Hollywood used to seem to make so effortlessly.
*1/2. I liked the music and Louis Armstrong but the rest is terribly dated. Just another Saint in Hollywood calendar. Already forgotten.

All Jimmy Stewart biopics are exactly the same.
The only musical biopic I've enjoyed in wake of Walk Hard destroying the conventions of the genre. This is mostly due to Technicolor Jimmy Stewart.
