Buster Keaton accidentally stumbles upon a ring of counterfeiters who are using a supposedly haunted house as a front for their criminal enterprise in this amusing but somewhat rambling two-reeler that feels strangely mundane compared to some of the comedian's more dynamic work. A sequence involving Keaton with glue on his hands trying to sort money is a highlight.
Buster performs his classic molasses gag, transformed here to glue and a wad of bank notes, and continues his fascination with the malleable characteristics of the modern house, including retractable stairs and spinning floorboards.
It's great fun and amusingly frustrating watching Buster having problems with glue sticking to everything. I also enjoy watching his acrobatics, and the ways he can climb in this one are really something!
