Mean Girls thriller. I really appreciate the tone of this film. It's refreshing to see a graceful, chick flick campy thriller with it's theatrical lighting, pastel outfits, bright red blood reminiscent of an Argento film's atmosphere.
It doesn't really amp up until the mid-point, but once it gets going, boy is it something! The whirling candy-colored, surreal madness of the last fifteen or so minutes is unexpected (and maybe out of place) but it's well done and the tension is solid. It's not art, but it still manages to stun.
