This film tells the story of a Chinese illegal immigrant, Cheung Kwan-chow, and his journey in New York. He is looking for a girl to have a false marriage in order to gain the right of abode there. Despite all the hardship and misfortunes, he tries to cope with life and reach for his dreams.
