The Japanese Wife - the tragedy and persistent lonliness of a long distance relationship. It was a poignant viewing experience for me, because I've also felt the frustration of broken languages and miscommunication and the fear and anxiety of absence. For me it was a seminal reconception of the boundaries of love.
