I loved Eugene Pallette in it. And it's about all I can say about this film. I bet that the book is way better. Already forgotten.
With swift direction by Curtiz, a performance by Powell that warms him up for The Thin Man, and a twisty plot that keeps you guessing this mystery blends a fine mixture of light humor and intrigue.
