Jesús Vallejo and his son Juan Diego are the only two inhabitants remaining in the ghost town of La Estancia. Their peace and quiet are altered when a filmmaker arrives to shoot a documentary about the two solitary characters and a very close relationship develops between the three of them.
Co-produced by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Carlos Armella’s enigmatic narrative debut languidly strolls through La Estancia, a dusty, deserted town where time stands still. Tales of love and violence haunt the otherworldly ruins, evoking a sense of magical realism that straddles fiction and documentary.
