There is something truly comforting in settling down to a 90's era Steven King telefilm. Perhaps it's the length? Perhaps it's the cast? The Langoliers certainly has that with David Morse, Dean Stockwell & Frankie Faison but this was truly a difficult feat to pull off on screen - even with 3 hours to play with, the explanations were few and the theories too wild, even for King. Enjoyable nonetheless. C.
Stephen King doing a time travel story with a "Twilight Zone" vibe. The idea and story in itself is one of King's better realized science fiction stories (on paper) but it is too long and it would have been better if it had been shortened down to a "TV Movie of the week". Effects are too low-tech and the monsters look like big Pacman's with big shiny teeth. At least this one could have been a good remake.
