Set in the early 1880s, this is the story of one of the last buffalo hunts in the Northwest. Sandy McKinzie is tired of hunting buffalo, and tired of killing, Charley on the other hand relishes the hunt and enjoys killing buffalo and Indians.

***1/2. I curiously had the feeling to see a proto-version of Kubrick's 'The Shining' here. See this film with this idea in mind and tell me if I'm wrong. I also liked a lot Robert Taylor and Stewart Granger because they can both play good guys and bad guys with the same talent. Buffalo hunting seen as a rite of passage leading to civilization. Highly recommended.
