Ratings & Reviews

  1. P D Dawson's rating of the film The Little Chaos

Playfully nodding to those who have inspired him, this is a short film about three conspiring to rob people in their homes under the pretext of selling magazines. Posters on the wall highlight Fassbinder's influencers and though it is short at nine minutes, his ability to engage an audience even at this early juncture, makes it feel like a two-minute clip. Wonderful to see the beginnings here of a prolific career.

  5. EdieEmm's rating of the film The Little Chaos

How is it that, even at 22 years old and making his first shorts, Fassbinder is this fucking irresistible? I am literally, dangerously, defenceless against this man. Charmed. Completely.

  6. Ozu_Teapot's rating of the film The Little Chaos

(3.5) I'm not sure if RWF was making a homage to early Godard and Truffaut or poking affectionate fun of them but it's pretty entertaining.

  9. charlotte's rating of the film The Little Chaos

Besides being a great short, it gets extra points for the Jules et Jim 45 tours, the Eric Rohmer and Juliette Gréco affiches, the picture of Anna Karina from Vivre sa Vie, and for playing the Troggs at the end.
